Welcome
to MRSS website! The
Malaysian Remote Sensing Society (MRSS) was formed in July,
1995. Its overall objective is to support and facilitate development
of remote sensing and related technologies in the country.
MRSS has been in existence for about 12 years and has embarked
in several activities aimed towards further promoting the use
of the technology, strengthening government-private sector
interaction, encouraging more publications of R&D results
and keeping members duly informed of remote sensing activities
within and outside the country.
Presently MRSS has 266 members - 194 ordinary, 11 corporate,
13 associate, 47 student and 1 affiliated. The main objective
of establishing this website is to further promote public awareness
of remote sensing importance for national development. With
this website, MRSS hopes to interact with fellow members and
the public at large to obtain constructive feedback to enhance
MRSS role to the Malaysian remote sensing fraternity. At the
same time MRSS will also strengthen its membership through
the availability of on-line application.
