CALL FOR PAPERS

Type of paper

MJRS&GIS will publish:

(1) Research papers are typically between 5000 and 8000 words debating and exploring theoretical and methodological issues, methodological approaches and substantive topics. However, there is not necessarily any lower or upper limit on length;

(2) Technical Notes
are designed as a medium for the publication of short communications that, however, do not require the fast-track publication route offered for Letters. Technical notes are typically between the equivalent of 1000 and 2000 words.

Student research paper
This is for the first time that MJRS&GIS is going to take an initiative to encourage students who are engaged in research, motivating towards continued researches in the field of remote sensing and GIS. Special pages will welcome them to publish articles on their research and best student article will be awarded a 1000 RM each year. Students are welcome to submit any article online (permission of the supervisor is required before publishing).

Submission

Please submit your paper at submission.mjrsgis@gmail.com, with a cover letter to Chief editor.

General guidelines

The MJRS&GIS considers all manuscripts on the strict condition that they have been submitted only to MJRS&GIS, that they have not been published, nor are they under consideration for publication or in press elsewhere. Authors who fail to adhere to this condition will be charged with all costs which the MJRS&GIS incurs and their papers will not be published.

We are pleased to announce that the MJRS&GIS has the capacity to publish free color for its authors - providing that the figure warrants colour, and is used in situations where it is necessary on scientific, and not merely cosmetic, grounds. Final decision will be at the Editor-in-Chief's discretion. For detailed information, please see Instructions for Authors at http://www.mrss.com.my/publication.htm
